Joe was my father until I was 15: when he informed me that he wasn't.
It was a argument between my mother and he; that caused him to say that.
If he hadn't added: I dont have to feed you;  it wouldnt have mattered, because I loved him as my father.
After that I wouldn't call him dad anymore, and told him so.I know it hurt him and he never forgave himself for it.He was a bartender and bouncer in a bar called "The Shipahoy"when he met my mother, they got married and he became a "Warehouse Manager" for The Alberts Furniture Store on Lackawanna,Ave Screanton,Pa.Where he worked until they went out of business.
He then took a job in Pequannock, and Passaic,Nj; for the "Dover Furniture Co."He was the Warehouse Manager there as well,Where he worked until his retirement.
It was because of this job that my mother and he seperated,he wanted her to move to NJ,where his work was,and she refused to do it.When he retired he moved back to Pa.and took a room,in Scranton,Pa I saw him quite often, and was always "His Little Baby Doll".
Mom and he never again lived together but never divorced either.
